We live in a confusing, chaotic time. Truth has fallen in the streets. As we close out this year, and head into this new year, I am compelled to go straight to the Word and remind all who are anchored in Him Who exactly it is that we serve.
I’m a King James Version fan. Some years back I felt the Holy Spirit wooing me to it. I realize for many, it’s not your preference, but with the Holy Spirit’s help, I believe you will completely understand the passages below. Because punctuation is an “added” item to all translations, I have taken liberty in the passages below in order for emphasis and timing. Please re-read the following in your bible–you’ll find the Truth remains intact.
From the book of Isaiah:
“Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm (power) of the Lord revealed?
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: He hath no form or comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; he was despised, and we esteemed Him not.
Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But…
He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way. And the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed, and He was afflicted–yet He opened not His mouth. He is thought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth.
He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was He stricken. And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death.
Because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth, yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him–He hath put Him to grief. When Thou shalt make His Soul an offering for sin, He shall see His Seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
He shall see of the travail of His Soul, and shall be satisfied. By His knowledge shall My Righteous Servant justify many–for He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore, will I divide Him a portion with the great and He shall divide the spoil with the strong.–because He hath poured out His soul unto death and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bare the sins of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” Isaiah 53:1-2
And now to the book of Revelation:
“Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne; and from Jesus Christ, Who is the Faithful Witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His Own Blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever, AMEN.
Behold, He cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him; and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, AMEN.
‘I AM Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the LORD, which is, and which was, and which is to come, The Almighty.'” Revelation 1:4b-8
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse. And He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True. And in righteousness, He doth judge and make war.
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. And He had a Name written, that no man knew, but He Himself.
And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood. And His Name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations; and He shall rule them with a rod of iron. And He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And He hath on His vesture, and on His thigh, a Name written: KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS!”
Revelation 19:11-16
He came as prophesied. He finished that which was required of Him. He will return and complete that which is His to do. He is not a weak and continually dying Savior–“IT IS FINISHED”, is what He cried out in John 19:30–and that is EXACTLY what He meant! He is risen. He is seated. He is a mighty Warrior and KING! AND HE IS COMING BACK! 🙂
“He which testifieth these things saith, ‘Surely I come quickly.’ AMEN. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. AMEN.” Revelation 22:20-21
May 2018 be the greatest year yet, in Him!!
