“…And His appearance underwent a change in their presence; and His face shone clear and bright like the sun and His clothing became white as light.” Matthew 17:1-2
“And…One like a Son of Man, clothed with a robe which reached to His feet and with a girdle of gold about His breast. His head and His hair were white like white wool, as white as snow, and His eyes flashed like a flame of fire.” Revelation 1:13-14
“white” in both of these verses is the Greek word, “leukos”, (G3022 in the Strong’s Concordance). G3022 is defined as: “light”; white.
As I pondered this, I googled “what is the color of light”. This is what came up:
“White light is a combination of all colors in the color spectrum. It has all the colors of the rainbow. Combining primary colors of light like red, blue, and green creates secondary colors: yellow, cyan, and magenta. All other colors can be broken down into different combination of the three primary colors.”
That is SO cool! In Jesus ALL color resides and it shows as LIGHT!!
To my fellow believers in Jesus: If we are truly hidden in Him (Col 3), we are no longer identified, nor should we be, by anything other than “In Him”. He Is Everything, and we are nothing apart from Him. WE ARE LIGHT! “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peckmeasure…Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.” (Matt. 5:14-16)
In my reading of the Word I can only find God defining two types of humans: Believers and Unbelievers; the righteous and the wicked. That’s it. You are either in the Light, or in darkness.
In 1 John 3:10, the Word clearly states “By this it is made clear who take their nature from God and are His children and who take their nature from the devil and are his children: no one who does not practice righteousness (who does not conform to God’s will in purpose, thought, and action) is of God; neither is anyone who does not love his brother (his fellow believer in Christ)”. And a few verses later in verse 15 it states: “Anyone who hates his brother in Christ is at heart a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding within him.” It is high time for those who call themselves followers of Jesus to lay their hearts and minds wide open to the Holy Spirit and seek to be cleansed of all malice, hate, prejudice, unforgiveness, and any other thing that hinders your walk with HIM.
The days are evil and the devil is roaming about seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8) It is high time to pick your identifier (Believer or Unbeliever) and walk it out.
Please take a moment to read: 1 Peter 1:13, Ephesians 6:10-18 and 1 Peter 4. God is GOOD. Jesus will return, be found IN HIM. (Philippians 3)
With love to my brethren hidden in THE LIGHT of Jesus,
