“So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My disciple.” Jesus speaking, Luke 14:33, KJV
Anyone who has walked with Him awhile knows how defining this scripture truly is–and becomes. It is the great “calibrator”, the “check engine light” on the dashboard of a life here. Faith is not about Legalism, but Relationship; not about Martyrdom, but Value-dom. (not a real word, but should be–don’t you think?) It is about believing Him, when you can’t “see” for yourself. It is about Trust and Love, even when it costs you–you. Jesus is, by the way of these small parables in Luke 14, teaching us the way to examine ourselves, our motives, our excuses, and how we value our things–in the Light and Call of His Word.
As I was praying and pondering through some things in my own life, I heard in my spirit:
“Count the cost. Lose the excuse. Walk your talk. Live the Life I died to give you. Stop the noise. Say your prayer. Walk forward knowing that your petitions are heard. Faith is the funnel to miracles untold–watch the sift and flow. Narrow is the way that leads to Life.”
Thank you Williams-Sonoma for this picture! It is a beautiful example of the above!!
If your heart is like mine and you want ALL He died to give us, let us cry out together: Sift and Flow LORD! SIFT AND FLOW!! 🙂
Allow the Lord to “sift and flow” your life here! He’s worth it ALL!!
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Jesus speaking, Matthew 7:13-14, KJV
