Live Loved

Have you ever said something regarding one thing, only to discover that it spoke more profoundly about another?

Well, I did that the other day.  Texting my mom about my daughter, I said, “And if I can go further–I don’t even love her because she’s so stinkin’ lovable.  She’s mine and I loved her the moment I knew she was in my womb.  I loved her before she ever met me.”

It took me about two seconds to realize my words weren’t my own.  In fact, God had led me to read those same words that morning, only I’d failed to receive them.

Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.  Ephesians 1:4 (NLT)

Immediately, I broke down in tears.

If I can love my own child this way, why don’t I receive God’s same, albeit more perfect, love for me?

Y’all, it’s time we take God at His Word.  If He says He loved us before we ever met Him, before we ever sang one song of praise or attended one church service or prayed one prayer, then let’s just believe it and receive it like a little child.  Let’s allow His love to permeate our thinking and forever alter the way we approach His throne.  Simply stated, let’s live loved.

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully.  THEN you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  Ephesians 3:19 (NLT) (EMPHASIS MINE)
