While standing in line at the grocery store, I noticed a “diet” candy bar. Just like religious practice in faithless grace, it “looks” good on the outside–but inside it is empty, tasteless, and full of dangerous content–there’s nothing REAL!
Do not be deceived. Just like “candy bars on a diet” promise good results (while petting your flesh cravings), grace without surrender is not REAL. Eat the REAL–He’s ALL you’ll ever need…or crave!
“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.” Psalm 34:8
I cannot help but be reminded of the scripture in Romans 11:6:
“And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace…”
I realize this is referring to the Jews, but its message speaks of the same: Religious pride and works of the Law will never be Grace.
Grace is what it is: God’s Reconciliation At Christ’s Expense. 🙂
P.S. I’m not preaching what some call “easy Grace” here…I’m talking ALL IN! Head over heels, fully focused, radical love for the LORD Himself! A Freedom and Rest that will change you from the inside out COMPLETELY! Romans 8 REALIZED!! 🙂
