The other day, while driving with Mom, we could not remember if the plural for fox was “fox” or “foxes.” As in all such dilemmas, we deferred to Google.
It was then that I read a similar inquiry: “Is the plural for fox, foxen? And box, boxen?” At first, I chuckled…then I laughed…then I laughed some more. And now I realize that’s as far as I got.
So, is it fox or foxes? I still don’t know…
