Slaves… – Loaf By Loaf
Words From the Grey

Slaves…

“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”  Romans 6:16, KJV

“Servants”, G1401, Doulos:  from G1210, a slave (literal or figurative, involuntary or voluntary; frequently, therefore in a qualified sense of subjection or subserviency):–bond(-man), servant.  G1210, Deo:  a primary verb; to bind (in v various applications, literally or figuratively):–bind, be in bonds, knit, tie, wind.*

We all have a decision to make.  A choice.  A choice to love, or not love.  A choice to obey our Redeemer, or the enemy of our soul.  And this choice is free, but the decision costly.  Weigh carefully, not carelessly.

Please join me in the prayer below if your choice is HIM.

Father and Lord over ALL,

Lead me to Your Truth of my existence and identity in Christ.  Free me from the brokenness and lies that I have enslaved me for far too long.  I need You Jesus–fully.  Lead me forward in Your Peace.  Destroy the work of the enemy forever through Your Blood and Word!  Surround me, consume me, overtake my “land” and lead me into Yours–the land You paid for me to dwell in!  I choose to love You with ALL of my heart, ALL of my mind, and ALL of my soul and strength.  Lead me into Your marvelous Light for Your Name’s sake.  I choose You, and desire to receive ALL that You have purposed for my life.  Create in me a clean heart, pure and holy before You always.

In Jesus’ Name I pray,

AMEN
